Season 2 of One Punch man so far has monster on a rampage only to be brought to a halt by the s class heroes. But as we saw with the last episode that is not exactly how it is. There will be spoilers in this so please remember to check out the episode before reading. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
Today we will be looking into the last episodes. Now I have only been mentioning this as One Punch Man is basically straight forward with its action and plot. But this time we have something different as the heroes try to fend the city from the monster. Now we see that most heroes are over run into the S class stars taking action. This important as we why their is a tier system which happens in most organizations.
For example with DC Justice League we have heavy hitter such as Super Man, Martian man hunter and lanterns and then you have other heroes such as Mr. Terrific. For Marvel you have Asagaurdians, Hulks and omega level mutants then you have heroes such as Hawkeye. Basically when a group get big enough it will need a level system for when they need there heavy hitters and when they don’t. In some cases it is for when they really need them and in other it is because the destruction they can cause.
This goes to terrible tornado and pig god who arrive to help and find themselves tearing apart the city. Pig God not so much where as tornado yes but still they do some collateral damage. It is done so reminding us what they are capable of as the monster reveal that there worse have not yet been revealed. Which brings us to Saioma.
Saitoma and Siryu facing off on reveals to all that Saitoma isn’t who he says he is. 2 what is his purpose. Siryu like most of the other heroes see themselves as big shots and thus seem distant or above people. Saitoma with his ridiculous strength humbles them up by showing that all of there power means nothing to him. We see this as Saitoma beats him with noting more than a hip toss. Now to be clear are hero was doing this in season 1 but in season 2 he is doing it to people and it seems to be gaining him his own entourage as he reminds people what it means to be a hero.
Now this all happens as we learn that there is a monster association. This not just monster coming together but humans turning into monsters. While this may seem like nothing it reveals that some humans might be choosing to become monsters in order to get stronger. We saw one hero sir come to this who else is something the show will probably touch on as the monster attack isn’t over. Which will probably be covered again in the next episode.
