Mortal Kombat XI Shang Tsung is out and players are seeing what the trickiest sorcerer in all of MK has to offer. Well one of the things that has been discovered is that he has a glitch. A glitch that makes it hard for Cassie Cage to keep Shang down.
“He transforms into Cassie Cage at the exact moment that the timer reached zero which triggered a time out win for the Cassie player along with the standard ‘Finish Him’ screen. This caused the sorcerer to change back into his normal state and strike his dizzy pose, but the match doesn’t end no matter how many times he’s kicked in the groin.
Not even a Fatal Blow was able to knock Shang Tsung off his feet, but luckily the match didn’t actually end in a soft lock scenario since he eventually just keeled over as characters do when they are not hit after a certain amount of time during the finisher screen. We do not know however what would have happened if the opponent tried to hit him with an actual Fatality.
We suspect that the transformation occurring during the time out created an unintended sequence that left the game a bit confused as to what it was supposed to do with the fighter though we can’t be certain of that.
Shang Tsung is certainly known for his near immortality, but this is taking things a bit too far. Players on both sides of the equation should probably keep this in mind when playing as or against him though NetherRealm Studios will likely fix this in a future update.”
