The King Of Fighters A New Beginning has a new chapter released raw with chapter 19-2. The chapter had something that need explaining so I will do my best to do so. But these will count as spoilers. So with that said if you don’t want to be spoiled stop now. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
Now the new chapter had K versus Nelson with K dodging most of Nelson moves. This make sense K is basically speed mixed his fire ability he got from Kyo infusion thanks to Nest. What maybe a little different here is the rout kodansha takes with Nelson arm.
Nelson arm is made for him by a mysterious scientists. Now we don’t know who they are let alone who they belong to in the game ending. The manga says it is NEST as this is also to serve as NEST return. Now the reason for this is that you can see that being the case as NEST is really the only global big bad the series has. Think of it as Shadowlo from Street Fighter. If it is criminal ad global chances are it is them. Because of this and the fact it technological you can say it is NEST but it is said in the manga.
I saw this as SNK fans especially KOF fans have seen many manga series based on KOF games. In these stories it is something to take into that they are not meant to be bi sprawling ones as there are a lot o wholes to fill. In order to fill in those wholes the writers get creative. In some ways they move too much such as having King brother be the host to the Oriochi in others it is okay as having everyone take on the game boss.
This is one of those leaps that we do not see in the game but it can be the case. While the NEST has been out of the picture in the game story with Igniz coming back we can see it reemerging. Also even though this isn’t the came now with the game this might be one of those cases where we see one medium for shadowing the other. We will have to see as the stories and Shue arc continue.
