The King Of Fighters XV is something we are looking forward to. Until we get the full roaster we are imagining who could be added to the game. Yesterday I showed a video by NeoGeo Now talking about who we might see in the game based on the defeat of Verse. One group is the new face team.
Now I am focusing on Chris, Yashiro and Shermei because people might not who they are. Now the one thing you need to know first off is that I will be referring to the characters by New face team and Oriochi team. The difference is with the Oriochi team they gained the elemental power resembling team Japan with fire, lightning and earth the only difference is they are basically evil. It is different from there new face team selves as they do not have those abilities and are at the time normal humans.
They got involved with KOF to take down Iori as they had a rival rock band to Iori. It is during the tournament. It is during the tournament that they regain there memories and there power. On top of there elemental power as the heavenly kings they seem to be able to manipulate rage with in people. Chris had flames similar to Iori but moves similar to Kyo. Sherumi similar to Benimaru. Yashiro had his own grapples but was meant to be a dark Goro. Chris would go on to become the Oriochi but just like the rest of his team would die in this game.
Funny note the moves that Kyo, Iori and Chizuru referred to as trinity moves are moves mad to defeat the Oriochi. Now Even with there death in 97 we see Chris and the others keep coming back. These return are not cannon as they are dream matches allowing dead and living characters to be playable. Basically it is your last goodbye for the arc before SNK moves on. At least that was the trend before XIV where that mold was broken leaving us with no dream match.
Now this new arc we may see the new face team in action. They might not have been hinted at in Verse defeat but SNK heroines which is cannon shows the team alive. KOF world or now NeoGeo now confirmed this in a Q& A with Oda SNK head producer right now. Something was revealed in the video I posted earlier. Now with that I said I wanted to see them. Not only because of there gameplay but the idea of seeing them fight or com to terms with there past selves. From Shermie ending we see them being the new face team which means they are normal just focusing on rock and roll. There past selves have no time for that and just want the world to return to what it was. Seeing how this plays out for them would be interesting.
With that said that is what I know. I hope this help people at least get an idea as to these 3 characters and what they can offer. Maybe we will see them maybe not. But it is clear that at one point we will.
