Capcom has posted a statement on how it esports is doing. While it admit it isn’t doing so well they still plan on growing there program.
“We are taking a long-term view of eSports, and with an eye toward cooperating with local governments and businesses on regional revitalization efforts, are focused on not only two- or three-year, short-term activities, but those that extend five, ten and even twenty years out, in order to promote eSports well into the future.”
Now this is a head scratcher. Capcom talks about expanding the esport program. Yet they only have Street Fighter V. Could this mean that Capcom faithful hopes of the company bring back more of its old titles is a solid thing? Time can only tell as we await to hear more from Capcom.
