With no new Fire Force Episodes this week I decided to do a recap. This will be pertaining to the anime only and if you are deciding to join in now you are 11 episodes behind. There will be spoilers so please check out 11 episode before seeing this. AGIAN SPOILERS AHEAD.
Fire Force takes place in a world were people are becoming infernals a creature of flame. They fought by fire soldiers who either control flames but cannot emit them or those who can emit them. This is separated by 2nd and 3rd generation with 2nd being manipulators and 3rd wielders. The story follows Shinra who is a 3rd generation who is nicknamed devil foot.
Shinra name comes from his power of emitting flames from his feet as well as his smile. A reaction to when he nervous or excited by something. He joins company 8 comprised of Captain Obi, Iris who are the normal ones Maki and Hinawa who are both 2nd generation. Hinawa can manipulate bullets from there blast caps so he can make them lethal or none lethal or sparks thus enabling him to bonce that said bullet of off walls. Maki can control flames by making them in to her little creatures. Arthur can create a plasma blade.
We are later introduced to Arthurrt who doesn’t get along with Shinra and sees himself as a knight. By seem himself I mean he projects things into a medevil setting. From Shinra being a devil, calling the girls my lady or company 8 base as his castle. (He answer the phone with it.) And with that we get the full teams character flaws. From Shinra smile, Hinawa odd hates, Obi continues training that borderlines circus acts to Maki being bubbly with her personality. She also has a temper and misunderstands things sometimes. Iris flaw is because of growing up with Hibana she has a tendency to want touch flames which we will get to later on why.
With the 2nd episode we are introduced to Arthur and Joker. Joker is behind scene of a fire that looks suspicious as he taunts fire force. This taunting would continue with ep 3 which during the Rookie games Joker appears in front of Shinra revealing that his brother is alive. Not only that but there are some shady things happening with in fire force. Shinra doubts this until he Captain Burns of company 1 brush him off. Obi then tells Shinra that company 8 is set to investigate into the rest of fire force as there is something off.
Shinra and company 8 would then procced to fight with company 5. This started when Company 5 decided to go into company 8 territory to get an infernal who still had strong sense of himself. Company 5 got to keep the infernal on the promise they would share information with the 8th. The 8th didn’t believe that and with Iris going to see Hibana the captain of the 5th a fight was on. We then learn that Hibana and the Iris go back but there chapel was burned down and while Iris saw it as a tragedy Hibana saw it as a lesson that only the wicked can win. Hibana ability to conjure flames into illusions such as flowers is something Iris didn’t get over hence why she reaches out and try to touch hot things. The battle was over quickly and the companies decided to work together.
Here we learn that Hibana has found some issue with company 1 turf as some infernals from them seem to be different from the others. She even found proof that people are being turned infernal. To look into this Obi sends Arthur and Shinra to look into the company. Shinra is then given a real taste to what the it means to take on a fire soldier who can fight back as Burns takes him and Arthur with ease. But he is not there real target the target is the one who is turning people infernal. That person they see is Rekka.
Rekka was turning people into infernals to find the pilot light for the white clade and evangelist. Tanaki was used to get the kids so Rekka can put the blame on her but things didn’t go as planned and Shinra found them. A fight ensues where we learn Shinra has the Adola burst the evangelist are looking for. There goal according to Rekka is to turn the world into a second sun. Rekka was going to go so far as take them all out including himself but Karim came and froze him to question him later. The problem is the white clads weren’t going to allow that.
Tanaki is transfer to the 8th temporarily to file her report as well as a punishment. A meeting with the all captains are arranged to discuss what happened. There we see all the captain which it seems company 7 isn’t really with this group and leave before the meeting starts. We learn that the Adolla burst is a special clean flame and that is not all. Before Shinra left he meet Joker once more where the mysterious man revealed his little brother Sho isn’t just alive but is with the white clad. He does so before disappearing once more.
Thinking this might be true company 8 prepare for the case that they might have to fight Shinra little brother. From here we learn about how the team came to be as a flash back shows us how Hinawa, Obi and Maki all meet. We get to see the 7th turf and learn more about Benimaru. Here we learn that the 7th doesn’t see things the way the rest of the empire sees it. Empire seems to be more western where as the 7th area is more old school Japanese. The people of this area look towards then end as inevitable and that they would like to die by Benimaru hand. 
We also learn Benimaru is a compound fire soldier meaning he can manipulate flames as well as emit them. Something we haven’t seen yet. Also he doesn’t believe in the white clades turning people infernal as he has not seen it so this could lead to another problem for company 8 to deal with it. But that is where we are now.
