Earlier I posted about Machida Matsuzo of Studio Wild Rose putting up a Halloween story on the blog. Given that the man behind Shadow hearts went out of his way to tell a little tale I decided to not only post the translation below but also some fun stuff I found as many seem to look at Sh for today celebration. Given you heroes consist of vampires, talking animals and people who change into monsters you have to say it is the right time for it.

[みなさん、こんばんは。
本日は10月最後の日。世間はハロウィンで盛り上がっていますね。
今朝は起き抜けから首里城炎上というショッキングなニュースが飛びこんできて愕然としました。非常に胸の痛いニュースですが、これまでも何度か焼失し、その度に再建されてきたように今回もそうなって欲しいと切に願うばかりです。
熊本城だって不死鳥のように蘇えったんだから、首里城だって大丈夫さ。絶対。
私たちは、私たちにできる応援をしましょう。
思い返せば今年の10月は実に自然災害が多く発生した一ヶ月でした。
強力な台風がいくつも日本列島へ襲いかかってくるし地味に地震は続いてるし。
そんな一ヶ月でしたが、我がスタジオワイルドローズでも色々なことがありました。
順調な案件もあれば、そうでない案件もあるのは当然として、新しい登場人物が現れたり、もう死んでしまった人からの手紙が突然届いたりと、「このタイミングでこんな出会いや出来事が！？」と思えるような不思議な事が連続しました。
新しい登場人物はその経験と知識で今の自分たちに欠けている部分を補ってくれます。この先、頼れる存在となってくれるはずです。
亡き人からの手紙とは、他でもない、三年前に他界した母からのものでした。ずっと仕舞われていたのを兄が発見しつい先日送ってくれたのです。
残された時間がわずかだと知った母が綴った手記には、生きることへの感謝とこどもたちをはじめ出会った人たちへの慈愛で満ち溢れていました。
誰だって人生は思い通りにならないことの方が多いものです。信じては打ちのめされ、踏ん張ってはへこたれ、歯を食いしばってもくじけそうになります。ひとり涙を流す夜だって一度や二度じゃありません。しかし、それが人生であり、明日が来ればまた勇気を出して己を奮い立たせ希望を持って生きて行くしかないのだと、手紙には書いてありました。
泣きながら強くありたいと常に願い女手一つで三人のこどもを育て上げた母は、自分の人生を顧みながら最後にそれを伝えてくれたのです。
「どんな事でも、やれるところまでやってみろ」
そんな風に勇気づけられた気がしました。
生きていればミラクルは稀に起こりますが、何だか今年は数が多い気がします。
町田、加藤、もなかそろって、すべての出会いに感謝し、この先ワクワクする未来を築き上げていけますようにと神さまに祈りました。
2019年も残り8週間。紅葉を愛でたり美味しい物を食べたり、秋を満喫するため日々の務めに精を出しましょう。
