Seven Deadly Sins Wrath Of the Gods episode 5 emotional maelstrom is out and we will break it down. As this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled you can stop now and go see the episode or wait till it arrives on Netflix. AGIAN SPOILERS AHEAD SO STOP NOW.
We last left with Elizabeth stepping in-between the fight of the arc angles who were losing to Derider and mostep. Ludociel seeing his fellow angle think he she is here to fight with them but that is not the cast as she tries to heal the 2 commandments. This doesn’t sit well with the head of the arc angles as he sees only one way to end this and that is to kill them. understandable as he see victory with only them left standing. Old soldier the war isn’t over until the enemy is gone. Seeing this as the perfect time to strike, Meliodas disagress.
Even his fellow angles side with Elizabeth to help heal/ remove the darkness from the commandments. How this works in turning them back to normal I guess it reverse the spell since they get there hearts backs. (The manga didn’t explain any better than the show did for this one.) But given how things are going lucido demands for back up and that is when Nero blast wakes up from her trance to see that she has been used by the commandments. Neroblasta ask for help but instead of help we get to see slaughter as the humans reveal they sided with the demons.
Now we see Gowther meet up with Diane and King making sure they don’t interfer with the gate opening explaining to them that he is one of the commandments. But this over showed by Gowther trick finally being unveiled that it isn’t the demon gate that is opening but a portal to the demon prison. Allowing the real Gowther to get out. Something that didn’t sit well with Melascula.
This Gowther has been imprisoned since he has been given the commandment of selfishness. That was 500 years ago and he doesn’t care about the holy war. He just wants all to end. Given his power he is capable as with one hand he took control of Melascula. But how will he do that is something we need to see in the next episode.
