D. Grayman manga is still going and you might want to check it out after seeing what happened with hollow. This will help with that as I will go over it to hopefully give you enough information so you can get into it now with little to no problem. Alright so for hallow we left with Allen from both Noah and the black order. He is running from the order thanks to this strange innocents Apocryphos that is trying to kill him and the Noah who are after the 14th. the arc is called Search for AW. Kanda and Johnny are looking for him with no luck that is until see a street performer attacked by akuma and he defends himself.
Seeing there old friend who has been missing for months the 2 were joyed but not Allen. Remember he is on the run from both sides. Kanada and Johnny would be in danger if they stick with him thanks to Apocryphos. But he doesn’t have much choice as he is wounded and needs care. As such the 2 tend to him trying to understand what has happened. Remember they don’t know about Apocryphos .
The issue the 2 are not aware Allen is losing the fight to Nea the 14th Noah. He takes over his body and injuries Johnny. Allen comes back only to have Kanada blade next to his throat as he is told that he attack Johnny under control of the 14th. Allen wants to fight this on his own but has no idea on how.
Not wanting to lose him again Johnny handcuffs himself to Allen. Even though he knows how lonely he must feel with both Noah and the order after him as well as how dangerous it is especially for someone with no abilities. Despite this Johnny wants to help but that is short lived as Apocryphos attacks them. Kanda holds off the innocents as the 2 get away but while making distance between they run into the Millennium Earl.
The earl isn’t acting right. Something Allen notices as the 2 fight. As they do Allen sees something when strikes the Earl. Earl over power Allen repeating the name Mana Allen then gets memories of Road protecting Mana. Mana D Campbell from Nea. We then have Nea take control of Allen body as he understands that the Earl is Mana. Nea also drops a bomb shell of his own as we learn mana not only killed there mother but also him. This happens as Allen finds himself with Crossroads in a field with his master saying he will disappear and there is nothing to he can do. Allen resolve changes this and Crossroads tells him to go to the Campbell manner to learn the truth of this war.
Allen wakes up as Nea gives control of his body back to him as they are falling from a roof top. He catches Johnny learning that they are in the real word with Tikki Mike ready to take him. He want to fight but is stopped by the Black Order as a carriage takes him away. The carriage curtains are opened by Kanada who tries to force Allen to listen.
Neo is trying to take over again and Allen is not sure he cannot stop it. But as eh continues to argue Kanada General Froi interferes showing Allen what has happened to Timcanpy and that it has been destroyed by Apocryphos this hits Allen hard. He is taken back to when he first meet the golem. Back to the present Allen opens the ark to get away but Kanada won’t let him.
Allen and Kanada fight with Kanada trying to convince Allen to let them help. As the fight goes on Allen explains the whole situation about Apocryphos. Accepting Tincaapny death Allen gathers himself and heads out for Campbell manner.
Now we also learn that Allen took on Mana traits. According to crossroad Allen was just a brat before Mana death. After words he start to act more like him. In the last chapter we see Road and Crossroad talking about the Earl and that Road needs to wait for him to awaken before they can use him. Crossroad talks about them forcing him to fight despite the battle they hoping to win long over. Something to do with a pillar that even mentioning it sets Road off. She composes herself and tells him he has no idea what it is like to have your entire world wiped out. The odd thing is the world Road is envisioning is modern day it seems.
