We now have news on a game being made for the PlayStation 5. Final Fantasy XIV is being made for Sony next console No surprise as the game shows no signs of stopping which means it will have to continue into the next console cycle.
However I should point out this not official. Basically the director Naoki Yoshida took to the stage issue how he would love to make the game for the next console.
“This fan event is where attendees got to participate in a raffle to win a Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers PS4 signed by Naoki Yoshida. After handing out the top prize, Yoshida took to the stage to say that while the top prize of this year’s fan event was a Final Fantasy XIV PlayStation 4, he hopes that next year’s could be a PlayStation 5. Initial reports from the event suggested he said that the team was “hard at work on the PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy XIV.” However, an official statement later released by PR said, “While not a confirmation, Yoshida-san expressed a hope that Final Fantasy XIV Online may one day appear on the next generation of Sony console.”
Although not a sold statement that this is happening it is highly likely.
