Gungrave Gore delay was announced today. The reason we got from Iggymob the people who are developing the game is due to the fact they want to make it cooler. What that means they want to expand on what they are going to give us I think I have an idea on what that is.

Gungrave G.O.R.E. was going to be released in December 2019 but we moved the release date to 2020.
The trailer we have revealed during the Tokyo Game Show 2019 hit 1 million views in 2 weeks. As of today, the trailer hit 5 million views globally. This motivated us so much.
Fans from the past keep supporting us and those who didn’t know what Gungrave was, now is showing interest in us.
Which gave us the drive to “make the game even cooler than we wanted to make”.
We’ve had hardships and we will face even more but we will not give up and we will present you with “cooler game”.
We would like to mention Sony Interactive Entertainment, Epic Games, Nightow Yasuhiro, and Digic Pictures and all the users who showed us support and wait for the game
we would like to thank all of them for supporting us.
Our dream to make this game amazing became even firmer than before.
We’ve been running and running to find the artists and developers to overcome our current ability for the game.
It took us some time to find them but we were so lucky to find those who agree, support and want to be part of our dream with their abilities. We are confident that the quality will be enhanced working with them and because we get to work with them, those hardships felt like nothing.
Mr. Kamikokyuryo, Mr. Benoit, Mr. Robert and our new signing, Mr. Kawamura give us new inspiration and with them, we are making something great together.
As we were looking into our new members and Gungrave GORE. We realized we can make something greater than we originally planned.
We are moving forward with the thoughts of “make something greater”.
As we went through all these processes, we realized that it isn’t possible to release the game in December 2019.
It can be said by anyone but we decided to move the date because we believe that we can come up with something great with amazing quality.
We will release Gungrave GORE in 2020.
Our staffs see the same goal and same dream, therefore, we have great teamwork within the team we have.

I think it is to give us more characters. I say this as I can’t help but think back to the interview where they were talking about what to expect from the game with on of the facts being more characters. In the beginning a nice sized cast was announced but Bunji was the only other character who can fight that was announced to be returning with Grave.
Now with a bigger team we could be seeing the cast from the last official game in the series return. I am talking about Juji Kibane and Rocketbilly Redcadillac. Gungrave version of the blind swordsmen and haunting ghost. Fans love and would love to have them return for another go around with Grave especially if we get to see the Kibane brothers interact more.
Now yes they were talking about character early on but in the last statements from the developers they sound like they wan to build on the cast more. In the interview they emphasized we might be surprised with who will be appearing. To me that is a different tone then how it stated. Now granted this is my interpretation and I could be wrong.
“Cryptically, we’re only told about Kugashira Bunji’s return to G.O.R.E, so perhaps players will need to keep an eye out. Moving on, multiplayer is currently not in the game, with discussions currently on-going internally. A few different modes not present in the original games will be included. Details couldn’t be disclosed, so look forward to that.”
Now again I could be wrong since in the latest interview they seem to have a lot planned. Meaning they can be adding more than just characters. More world and stages might be on the menu as well. Something that some fans might not want to hear as this could be the start to what is called developers hell where they keep adding and fans never get the game. To those people I don’t think this is the case. Hopefully they know what they wan to add and know when to stop. We have no date so far to see how far the push back is as the only number we were given was for next year. But we will see as the team loves to keep the community in the loop so we should be able to see new things on this soon.
