Studio BB Type Moon new game studio announced that it will be working on 3 titles. The object is to see what the studio can do but it is more than that. One of the titles is going to be brand new but explore the Nasu verse or the Type Moon universe.
Some of you might be asking why is that a big thing? After all we have various version of the Fate series and material on Tsukihime we should have plenty of info on the Typemoon universe. Not really when it comes down to it we know only 2 franchises that make up the universe and thus proves my point that we need to see more.
While we have been focused on Fate which is a battle between mages using heroes of old for the holy grail and Tsukihime a battle of vampires and those who fight them. That only makes up a small bit of what is Nasu has or will wants to do. With this new game we could get more detail on the types. If you don’t know who they are it is best to think of them as powerful entity representing a planet. Each has there own properties with some being immortally. I saw some as bruensted is one but was killed. They are in the series notes where Earth has had enough and other entities representing other planets are coming for us on its behalf. Think Final Fantasy VII Weapons created to deal with Jenova and you pretty much got the idea. The exception is these guys can think on there own.
And that is just to give you an idea can go in a number of directions as this studio gets a sense as to what they can do to see what they want to do. For fans who been waiting for more of the universe beyond Fate this is good news. But what the aspect this will focus on and where it will go is something we will have to look forward to more this summer as that is when the studio said they will tell us more about these projects. And this goes for there projects not Tsukihime Remake as again that is being handled in house or by the main team. But those are my thoughts. Let me know yours below.
