This is a long shot but there is word Onimusha might be coming back so I hope we hear about in 2020. With Nioh 2 we can only hope that we hear about Onimusha as Team Ninja take on blood born gets going.
Now some might say that Nioh is modern Onimusha especial with 2 now giving players a transformation. One can make that argument but fans will still support this plus there are still difference between the 2 series to make stand out from the weapons which Nioh takes a large assortment and gives them to the player to Onimusha each having there own identity to main characters. Onimusha series gives the player new characters but does so with movie star looks. No really there characters models are based on movie stars.
Gameplay wise it will be interesting to see where Capcom will take this. Onimusha was a samurai with tank controls. In other words Samuria Resident Evil. In today videogame landscape I don’t know what they will go for as some may not like it to change while others will think over the shoulder camera and action game is more appropriate. Again that will be interesting to see what comes out of it. Let me know your thoughts about it.
