It is 2020 and the rumor’s mill is starting up for SNK on Fatal Fury. Not Mark Of The wolves as they said we have no chance of seeing that. Then what? Well according to the rumor mill we will be seeing a new Fatal Fury announced. Some are even a real bout of some kind
But why? I think that comes down to Geese. Fatal Fury Real Bout had Geese dying for real as such SNK might want to reverse that. Now FF has had many villains from White – Krauser. But Geese impact on the franchise has not been met by anyone else. Also with what there doing with KOF XIV it might be tying them together as the one universe and not 2 separate time lines.
The issue then is Rock. Rock came in to Fatal Fury for Mark of the wolves where we found out his mother is still alive. How will we make his fans happy. Well we bring him in. But instead of the teenager fighting against his dark blood we have the rebellious teenager going to train with Terry instead of Geese. As for his mother you can still have that play out here.
This can also be true for Kain as you only have to bring him over from Mark Of The Wolves and have bee a leader of a rival gang. What I am basically saying is just bring the cast from mark of the wolves over to real bout and make them fit deciding which ones you want to keep. Whether that be characters or part of there story. It happens all the time in comics so why not here.
But why announce it in 2021. Don’t forget we have Samurai Shodown season 2 and The King Of Fighters XV in 2020. With that being the case SNK doesn’t want to hurt its own sales by announcing too many projects at once. Granted that does call into question this 2021 game release. But we will see as we enjoy the year that is 2020.
