The King Of Fighters XV roaster is something we are all wanting to see as we wonder who will make the cut. This has the fans asking questions about who is in and who is coming up with own line ups. Some have asked about characters from KOF maximum impact and we have been discussing them. This time we will look at Duke.
Duke was the boss of the first game but then demoted to just another character in the sequel. He is brawler who can use explosive power during combat. He gang has come into power following the fall of Geese. As a boss you face him with infinite meter making him dangerous as his strongest super can hit all around break guard and anti air. Along with infinite super Duke can spam this and as someone once owned this game I can tell you that has happened.
In MI2 we learn Duke gang was just a sub group for Addess and that since he lost they demoted him. We also learn that he killed Lien parents on there orders. He raised her and then told truth offering to help her go after them. But with thought out of the way we can now ask how can he join in KOF XV roaster and story.
Gameplay wise I see them taking Duke moves and running with them since they were just basic aside from his supers. Story wise we can look at that 2 ways. We can have Duke the man trying to over throw Geese as he only came into power with his down fall. The proof this is the scare on his neck which came from the last fight he had with Geese which he barely escaped with his life. Plus he would add to Geese story that way. We know Geese runs south town but so far the only criminal we see him deal with to keep his power is Mr. Big. Characters like Duke would give that a nice perspective what Geese has to deal with in order to stay on top.
The other follows the same rout as the Meira brother and Lien as you can have them showing that Address has a connection to this Verse entity as well as other big groups in SNK right now. Or it will be showing connections with alien’s. With SNK fighting games we have only Metal Slug being the modern game touching on this. To have another view point showing alien warrior would be interesting.
But in truth Duke is a man who can be the alley you have to keep tabs on so he doesn’t double cross you, the big villain or the man you want in your corner just to have his sheer power. It all depends on he is written. But that is my thought on him. Let me know what you think of this as we hopefully learn more about KOF XV.
