The King Of Fighters XV is in development. As such many fans are wonder who is in or out. Some people are wondering if this applies to The King Of Fighters Maximum Impact character to see if we can reintroduce them? We have been answer that question going over characters. Today we will be goin over Mignon and Ninon Beart.
We will start with Mignon as she is cannon to KOF MI where as her sister is an extra character you can unlock by beating the game with her. Mignon is says she is an idol of peace and using magic. In other words she is MI version of Athena the same way Lien is MI Mai. Her personality is childish only enhanced by talking to herself in a 3rd person.
Ninon in comparison is more serious. Being her sister rival not just in looks as we have Mignon as the cute doll and Ninon the gothic one. This rivalry goes into there power as Mignon uses light magic compared to her sister dark magic. In her opening Ninon ask if you want a curse place on someone. This only changes when she talks to Rock.
As magic sister they share similar abilities. Both use the elements with only a few differences on how. The huge difference is that with Ninon you get a sense that her and her sister were going to be another point of mystical warning for the series. To clarify in KOF we have 2 warnings with something mystic is up. Chizuru and psycho solders. The thing Chizuru is only for the Orochi as she over seas the seal. As for psycho soldiers we see them warn K of something is up as a second Kyo but it was the first time they did so keeping in mind it was Chin using them as he thought Athena wasn’t ready at the time. Through the sisters we would have another person or people to let us known about an evil entity that the tournament attracts once and awhile.
You are probably asking what I mean by more story with Ninon then Mignon. Mignon wanted to prove she is a witch by opening her grandmother jewel box which would she show she is a true witch. Her sister story involves Goenitz as she would encounter him and send back into the after life. This version of Goenitx didn’t remember who he was but I don’t know how much of that is true since a he remember he is the wind that blows as well as he was revived by the Orochi to study humans. Basically imagine how she is when facing nightmare Geese it is the same thing.
But what about for KOF XV? What can these opposing sides of magic offer to the story? As with the others it is point of view with regards to Verse. The only exception is that with this it will be through magic and maybe they can explain not only Verse but Shun power. Shun power comes from getting a piece of Verse. The issue is that Verse himself is a combination of people and as such the try source of the power can be from anything. This makes Shun true origin of power unclear. With the sisters he might be able to figure out.
As for gameplay we are looking at mages. As such they will likely be zoners with a few close up moves for good measure. But that depend upon how SNK wants them to play. What about you guys thought? Let me know your thoughts.
