We have talked about Bloody Roar should make a come back. If the series does get a reboot we should talk about the game lore and how it would look. To begin with we will look at one of dark elements introduced in Bloody Roar 3 the Unborn.
The Unborn is a demonic like entity in the BR universe created by Gaia to represent those who have not yet been born. When Gaia it was becoming evil it sealed the unborn into another dimension. From there it can only influence people to do it works as you have noticed with Xion and Nagi.
Basically think of it as the Shadow King from the X men. he is all powerful but only if he ever gets out of the astral plain. Until then he can basically make promises to you to do what he wants and nothing more. This is what the unborn was doing to Xion as it promised a great world when it just wanted to destroy everything.
If we are going to make this an enemy of serious nature we need to think about being less of the devil over your shoulder and more of the devil with demons at its call. Xion for instance is said to be the unborn but we learn that is a separate entity as such we should have it either be the reason he became an unborn or how it granted him great power. Or we should treat him like an alien entity. Similar to how Jenova is treated in Final Fantasy VII.
Basically we can play it as a alien threat at first. But then as we slowly learn it is not alien to Earth only to learn it was planned to have a place before getting exiled. Before that it happened it left fragments of itself dormant. This would allow us have threat of the unborn and giving it many agents of destruction with more story. This would mean we would get characters similar to Xion and Nagi in a sense as they were both under the entity control. But there forms are different and that should go for unborn going forward since we are talking about alien creatures more or less.
Of course these demons or new unborn should be people that tried to fight the Zoanthrope as normal humans but tries to use this new alien cell that seemed against the Zoanthrope to make them stronger. This would give us the x men element that gives us normal humans who fight Yugo and the others but the end doesn’t justify the means and they pay for it.
Now how far they take depends on the story. But those are my thoughts let me know your take on it as we hope this series gets revisited.
