Seven Deadly Sins recent arc has us dealing with a new power called chaos. Not bad or good but I figured it will be a nice thing to go over what we know of it so far. This so we can keep track as to what Arthur has at his disposal. This will contain spoilers so please stop now if you don’t want to be spoiled. AGIAN SPOILERS AHEAD.
lets begin with what we have. We have the power of chaos which comes the saint of chaos. According to the lady of the lake this being started it all. The demon king and supreme deity were made by the saint and went from there. The power and knowledge of its existence had been kept hidden. This was first done by the two clan leaders fearing for there own races and then by Merlin. I am not giving too much to what she is saying as this might change latter down the arc we don’t know who she is.
Now Arthur has been given this power with Merlin awakening him. This is down by using Excalibur. This turns Arthur into the vessel for Chaos The Chaos king. We then learn that the chaos power itself was with the sins since the fist chapter as it was mama hawk the whole time. (It does explain who she is able eat a demon spell with no problem.)
Now so far we have seen Chaos basically be the power to warp reality. Now kidding Arthur has now twice warped reality in a moment of anger when he awakened and happiness as he tried to get Merlin and Melidaos to stop arguing. Now this warping power is shown to be insane with buildings and no sense of gravity over all as just a few thing depicted we see this as one of the biggest powers shown in the series to date.
However with this power Arthur is still human. We learn this as the cat that is with him takes his arm. The arm gives him some of the power showing its true form to be something that once tried to take the chaos for itself only to lose. Even then it wouldn’t die and as such it was thought to be sealed by the goddess clan. (Interesting then as to why Elizabeth hasn’t made any reference to it).
Now Arthur took care of it but given how it can’t be killed only sealed there is a good chance we haven’t seen the last of it. The bigger question is who else will be coming for Arthur now that he has awakened is something we will have to look forward and see with the rest of this arc.
