When I showed of these images for the King Of Fighters XV I did so thinking I was showing leaked images of Ash. These images have been proven to be fan made but the art can still be something they are aiming for hence why I started to what if post about the game release.
I have talked about Ash as what we can look forward with his team. But when I did so I didn’t give full though as to what we could expect from Ash by himself as I looked at it from stand point. As such I will now focus on Ash and what we could be getting gameplay wise from in this next installment.
We will begin with story element with the person as we must state that Ash is a wild card. While there are some who interpret his actions as planned to take down Saki from the beginning he just seemed to gather power for his own ends. While this came together in the long run for the series finally we don’t know what would happen if Ash was able to keep control. So saying that makes him a hero is a bit much.
Still though he made the right call. After all Ash only had to go with Saki saying he can offer him all the power he want as well as anything else. The man of the emerald flame said no and thus Saki plan was stopped. So he has a heart but as to how and why he would do thing would be unpredictable. This would make him entertaining to see and probably to write. But where does that leave him with verse.
Verse was made possible thanks to the action of Ash as part of time paradox. As such Ash maybe able to tell us something about the creature. He may not be Saki but as we have seen the marks from those of the past still exist in KOF world. Where they are and what they can offer is something we have to see going forward as we learn what Verse is much less what it is trying to do.
But with out of the way lets talk gameplay. Ash for the most part you have to forget xi and xiii. I am saying this as Ash did gain moves but you have to remember that is from the power he stole from Iori and Chizuru. If we do get Ash while he will hopefully have new and old moves those will not be there or if they are not the same effect.
So this leads us to a more basic question when it comes to Ash. How much of a charge character will he be? This is a good question as SNK toyed with the idea of having characters with a mix of command special moves and charge moves. Will they return to that for Ash or will they keep as a charge character like he was originally? That is something we will have to see when move info on KOF XV comes out.
