The King Of Fighters XV is either expected to come out this year or next. But with many hoping this year and Evo Japan taking place this weekend many are hoping the new game will get a full trailer instead of the teaser we got from last year EVO.
But if we are getting a full trailer then what should expect from it. We can break this down to what we believe we will get and what we want. What we believe we will get is to see a new art style. KOF XIV low note was the graphics so SNK has vowed to do better. But what can that mean? We will either get Samurai Showdown or Guilty Gear as Samurai Shodown is the company experiment with the unreal engine which is being used for KOF XV. But on there recruitment page we have an image of Raiden looking similar to how Arc System Works Red team aka the group behind Guilty Gear Xrd and Strive do there work. So we can expect that to be answered with a full trailer.
Another thing we can expect is to see Kyo and Iori. These 2 are series posted boys as there rival makes up the series and as with KOF XIV when they were showed first most likely the same thing will happen here. We will also get a look at a new stage unless they figure like transferring one of the old ones to the new game. IN KOF XIV first trailer we saw Kyo and Iori go at it on Team Japan stage. So it is a good bet that we will get to see there stage first.
Now for what we hope we hope to see more than just Iori and Kyo. With the defeat of Verse we know many character who were dead have know been brought back from Rugal and team Orochi to Igniz and Ash. As such it would be nice to see them and get an idea who is in the game a little bit. I don’t expect the full roaster but I do hope to see maybe an image of Ash, Shun and K in action as well as team Orochi since they are one of the most demanded teams.
The last hope is we get to see some gameplay. It took some time before we got to see the full extent of what XIV had to offer and while I don’t ask for the full thing to be shown with the first official trailer. I would like a nice tease to see if we will still get max mode and if we will have ex moves attached to it or separated? It is something they would tease and not go into but it would be a nice conversation to have as we examine the trailer and breakdown every frame.
Now again this is we get a trailer. I am edging my bet saying we should get one this year as they have to start the hype long before the game comes out. So if it is coming out this year the trailer for XV can be launched anytime now. If it is next year we will have to wait. Hopefully get it this year.
