Once again we are looking at the idea of Bloody Roar coming back. This time we be looking at Long. As always this looking at how we can expand on the character if we get a reboot or continuation for the series.
Long went from an assassin who wanted to be away from the world to teacher in Uriko the half beast. But a lot of his actions as well as his fellow fighters are focused on you winning the tournament or defeating the bad person in the end. So we will have to sort that Long goes through a lot of he wins these and while some are explaining able and we can let slid as facing Shen long and see Chronos finds peace other are not.
But for this we will look at his past he was a top assassin before it became too much and that is something we should see him come to term or have more issues with if the series gets revived. At the moment the only big reminder of this is Shen Long who is a dark clone of Long.
By this I mean we should see Long deal with grieving family members or friends who want pay back for there dear friend or loved one being taken from them. But we also have to balance this with Long sense of self as he has no problem taking the blow as we see with Bloody Roar 3 as he takes in the darkness that was controlling Xion. Now while that doesn’t happen as Yugo stop it doesn’t mean we can’t have Long not fight the influence of the darkness in some way as he fights of the mark.
So that would be his role in the new game. The assassin trying to find a better life fits him and he should still have it but I think we should see more of his knowledge as well as those harmed by his killings to show this and he is trying to be a better man through he reacts with them. Also we need to see him have more conversations with Uriko. he is her teacher after all.
As for Shen Long it should be someone trying to bring back to his old ways. The dark id made flesh since he a dark evil clone. But for this I don’t think a pure hatred relationship as that would lead to Long hunting Shen Long down and giving some nice story. But he would get anywhere that way by killing Shen Long and proving him right. To prove him wrong he will have to let him live showing he is in control of himself and that he is done being an assassin.
But for this we should also see Tylon coming after him. He is one of there former best assassins so it would only make sense they come after him to put him down. But that is it for now on Long. I will come back with another character as we hope we get to see this series come back somehow.
