The King Of Fighters XV is a game where we are looking every bit news as we only have a logo. But in the mean we are talking about every single aspect we can look at. This time we are looking at another character who fans maybe interested in seeing and that is Botan as a playable character.
Botan is a member of those from the past and was mostly seen in the background controlling people such as Chizuru an Rose. She did using threads which is her main weapon. Weapon is a long stretch since we have not yet seen her fight. Right now we assume she can.
From the story we see her control people but what else she can do with the strings is unknown. Maybe if she is playable we would find that out. Now as to what she can deliver to the story at best she is a European version of Vice as she is sadistic and looks low on humans. I saw European version of Vice as those from the past are European version of Hakkushu or Orochi clan.
But in game we see her look down on humans and be loyal to Saki. What that means for what she wants is unclear. That is because the group was doing what Saki wanted and that was to make a gate to go to the past and rewrite history. With him gone it is unclear what she will do. At the end of XIII we see her walk into a crowd showing she is still alive. Something that people were concerned about as she was close the blast created when Saki took over Ash body.
She is one of 4 member from those of the past who are running around that fans of KOF might want to know what they are doing. Now as to what Botan can contribute to the story is give Ash some back story to his life on once end while at the same time giving some idea as to what Verse can be. heck it can be that very thing spawns her to join as she could know what it is from something Saki said and thus know it is a bad omen.
But that is if she joins. Those are my thoughts on this let me know what you think of Botan coming to the game.
