Seven Deadly Sins Wrath Of The Gods ep 19 The Holy War Pact is out and we will be breaking it down. Now we have the return of 3 of the 4 archangels with Ludociel making the not only the first move by getting his first body but also the first attack as he attack Zeldris. The problem though is that Zeldris is not a low level angel so while the Gale tries to take the angle out of Margarette body Zeldris attack the angel temple.
At this point we catch with Elizabeth who is fleeing Camelot but is spotted by Chandler. Chandler sees a moment to take out Elizabeth which I will be honest this whole sequence didn’t make sense to me in the manga and still confuses me now. Yes Chandler wanting Elizabeth to be killed to be away from Meliodas makes since they are mortal enemies and as his teacher he sees her as a problem. At the same time she is the only reason for Meliodas to agree to becoming demon king so he can break the curse on both of them since Meliodas has given into it now completely. At the same time Elizabeth is no slouch as she is powerful and most likely a angelic version of Meliodas when it comes to how strong she can be so the little creature that Chandler sends after her to kill her doesn’t sit well with me. That out of the way seeing the creature Elizabeth flies for it.
But Camelot itself is in chaos. Merlin had Zeldris not only remove the effects of his commandment but also ordered his demons to attack. That is now on a timer since the negotiations failed. But it isn’t something to big to worry about since we have Merlin and the rest of the sins teleport them out of harms way. This also leads to Elizabeth bumping into Diane and get away from Chandler familiars.
Elizabeth tells them basically what Merlin already knows with one tease. This important that although Diane brings up the fact Meliodas is becoming the demon king to remove the curse on Elizabeth and himself they will not be able to meet him again. This is a teas to get people a vague idea that Meliodas will change even more if he gets the commandments. But with that said Elizabeth doesn’t care if she dies again but she will save Meliodas from become a new demon king.
Back in Liones it is a time to rejoice as the capture people are returned with a few extra. But the celebration is interrupted by Ludociel and the other archangels as Gilthunder introduces them to the king. Remember that only Diane, King and Elizabeth knows what these 3 are like so as they come in talking about leading to victory and defeating the demons it is basically continuing where they left off.
More so for Ludociel and Elizabeth are once again at odds. Remember that Ludociel wants to wipe out the demons completely. For Elizabeth and the sins that is not the case as they want to stop the demons but also save Meliodas. While these 2 are odd both need the other in order to get anywhere so basically what we have is temporary alliance against the demon race.
From here we have Dreyfus and his son drinking where we see him breakdown that they shouldn’t believe the angels so quickly. Remember they can brain wash people in this series. Something we know from Merlin having protection from such. It is something to point out as we see the angles aren’t just the subject of discussion but also seem to be increasing the holy knights power through enchantment which many are taking as making them invincible. But with that we get Elizabeth explaining to the king what she is and it is leading up to preparations for the big fight with the demons. A fight Ludociel has been waiting centuries to settle.
