Final Fantasy VII Remake A Global Effort

Final Fantasy VII Remake was originally being worked on by Cyberconnect2 before being brought in house. Well Naoki the co director high lights that even though the game was brought in house many around the world had helped in developing the remake.

developed under the guidance of the original key developers.there are developers from all over the world who have had this great respect for Final Fantasy 7 who have come to work on the game with us” Naoki

To give you a good understanding on this we have people from China as well as others. Some even back to when the game was bring developed in 2015.

[After a quick LinkedIn search, there’s a technical evangelist, quality adviser and environment artist from Guangdong, China,  and a lead environments, prop modeller, and texture artist from Montréal, both of those having worked on the game prior to the E3 2015 trailer. Obviously, this isn’t all of the people who have worked on it, and there’s no doubt a load more developers, but it’s certainly nice to hear that the game has had such an impact on the developers and they’re all uniting to work on it.]

The phrase under key developers probably meant Square Enix were more hands on than before but we will have to wait a while to get the full story of this project development. By that I mean long after we get the full game as that is usually what happens.
