We have talked much about The King Of Fighters XV from gameplay to characters. However we have been talking about character who have been mentioned or appeared in KOF or Fatal Fury. But this is anew game in the series and as such what new character can we see.
Will it be DLC character who we couldn’t get before. IN XIII case that would mean Rugal brother those from the past Shroom. If you don’t know these were planned to make into KOF XIII but it never happened as SNK had so much trouble getting making the game that effort for DLC stopped and they were ready to go into pachinko period. So maybe if we get a new style that they might try to bring these characters in.
Or will we get a set up character to get us hyped for Fatal Fury. Basically we know that SNK will turn its sights to bring back South Town at some time and getting us hyped by putting in a new character or 2 to get us teases for a new one will be cool. I saw new one as SNK officials have stated that it will not be a Mark Of the Wolves 2. To me it is because they see Fatal Fury needing Geese alive so they you have it. Now that doesn’t mean we can’t a rock or Kain teaser by maybe showing the kid who was supposed to watch Rock but it might not be straight from MOTW as we would like which would make it interesting.
But lets saw we stay in KOF we have a tone of groups to pull from as we have the super human who don’t see themselves as human such as the Orochi family and Those From The Past. Yes we have spoken about there member but the members we have spoken of have been in the game and talked about them returning. 1 reason why is the New face team or orochi team are one of the most request sets we have in demand.
Where we differ here is I wonder if we will see more of the group. 1 we have member of the group we have not seen such as there is supposed to be a family that is in control of death in the Orochi clan but we have not see them yet. The same can be said to for those of the past as we see them gather but have yet to see them all in action. We also only see one member of the family. This applies to the Orochi more as from what I gather even though those from the past are supposed to be European version of the Orochi they don’t have vast family lines free as they were sealed once they were defeated. (Granted how Ash came to be then begs more question as he is a descendent of Saki thus the time paradox he has comeback from.
The point is we have yet to see other family members. Now granted they may not be huge but should be enough to show there are some who want the Orochi back compared to others who don’t. For instance if we have the new face team return even with the Orochi powers they don’t want to bring him back there family members will not be happy with it and force them to help regardless of how they feel. Or side with them depending on how SNK writes.
On the other side of that we have Nest and Flying Brigands. Nest seems to be coming back in a big way as we seen in the manga which some say is kind of cannon kind of not. So we might see more characters from them. But other than those we have mentioned such Igniz and Krizlaid we might see more. Not including Namelss who if he appears can add his story to the Nest side of KOF. We have members we have not see.
Nameless for instance is from the Mars base. We have no idea of the fate of the base after Igniz death. He was probably not the only human weapon they hade so we could see other people from the base. That is not all as we have to remember that the group came apart when Igniz died. Meaning that they might not be on the same page and have joined Diane in forming a new group to oppose the old one with there leader now back.
We also have the flying brigands aka Hizoku. Now this group is small but none the has members other Duo Lon and his sister who could be brought into the game. Basically the group is taking jobs to hunt down Ron who is in search of the dragon spirit. But in order to find him and get clues on what he is doing they are taking jobs to look for clues. These clues can be more than one entering KOF.
Now I said a small group as SNK has stated that they have low numbers. Although they can change that as it is something they can expand by introducing a new character or 2 to us. To give you an idea Luan the girl in orange can us flames, teleport the same way Duo Lon can as well as tap into the dragon spirit power. How she is able to do that when it is supposed to be Bao and Sie is unclear. I would live to dive into that better.
We must also consider who Rugal would bring with him. Remember Rugal network size is unknown. Even as an arms dealer he could be like Mortal Kombat Black dragon in which he has many people to bring in other than his brother and son. Basically think of Geese bring in Hein. Rugal can do the same thing bring in a new character to shake everything up.
All of these groups can offer us a new character to dive into. How that will be is something I can’t wait to see. Those are my thoughts let me know yours.
