Seven Deadly Sins Wrath Of The Gods ep 21 is out now and we will be going over it. As a breakdown/review there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled please stop now and go see the episode online or wait until it is on Netflix. AGIAN SPOILERS AHEAD.
The last time we left Arthur was facing off against Meliodas, Zeldris and there teachers with Excalibur magic of past wielders skills being the only factor that was saving him. Or so he thought until we see the attacks were not working. Basically they needed to see what the sword did so they let Arthur fight on. The thing is Cath mentions Arthur magic remembering he hasn’t awakened his power and that is the thing here. Remember Arthur sword skills have improved. As far as magic not so much. And given that we are facing high level demons he will need more than sword slashes to kill them. They do have 8 hearts after all.
The issue is the backlash as we have Arthur body catching up to him. Excalibur gave him the knowledge and power to do the skill but it was not his own. Therefore he was pushing his body in order to do it. Think of Goku when he was doing Kaio ken and to face Vegeta and that is the main issue. You can only push your body so far . This unfortunately leaves him at the mercy of the other demons but before they can touch him Merlin comes.
Now Merlin thought she save him but Cusack casted a spell on him where he can take control of him. This hits Merlin hard as she had taken time to train the young king and as many fans know there are other reasons as well. But for now we will stick with this.
As we go through memories of old we still have a war to fight even if hearing Merlin love for another has left Escanor in a foul mode. They must now plan for war as they get ready to face the demons.
We are assigning who will be with who as we get ready for the big battle. But as the human and angles prepare so to do the demons. The demons on defense with mostly there weapons versus the stigma. But the demons though few in power have proven to be more then capable when facing high level ones. And those are all that is left. How that will go is something we will have to see.
