We have been talking about The King Of Fighters XV. We have been talking all aspects with the recent post being about who might be in trying to cover multiple possibilities. One person to introduce and make cannon is Hauer from Fatal Fury Motion Picture.
Hauer was one of the 3 fighter helping Laocorn get the pieces to the armor of mars. He uses chi as well as wind to fight and he would be an interesting choice out of the 3. Unlike Jamine and Paddy Hauer doesn’t seem to be attached the Gaudeamus family. Which means he would be more of free agent.
So no matter what story you can apply him to it as a job. This would allow you to give us back story no matter who he is with. The only thing about Hauer that should be taken from the movie is his focus on Mai. Giving Andy a rival in his own right instead of getting tight hands men of the people Terry is facing would be a nice step up. But how that is portrayed can be up to the developers.
Should be after Mai to make her his own or should he be after her to take away from Andy? Both would force Andy to take him own as he did in the movie and can make him an eternal rival to him. Now as to how his style will play out is hard to say.
Hauer fights in the movie are quickly decided with no struggle. As such we don’t really him see him show anything else other than long distant attacks.
As such his normals and close range gameplay is hard to say. Jamine was easier due to the fact he just seemed to be a crimson/ fire empowered Terry. Hauer then is his own style from long range to short with a few taken from the movie. Maybe he can have a grab super with 2 different type of animations depending upon your character gender to reflect when he used Mai to get the armor from Andy.
Again I suggest this character as well as Jamine due to the fact fans of SNK love the movie so much and with story seeming to be in Fatal Fury style it would be a good time. But that is for SNK to decide. Hopefully we find out soon. Let me know your thoughts as we await for new son KOF XV.
