A while back fans decided to data mine Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. What they find was information portraying to DLC for Dragon Ball Super. Today that information has been confirmed as DLC for Super Saiyan God as well as Beerus and Whis has been announced for the game future.
This does makes sense as DBS does take place after DBZ so we should be getting DLC for it. With that said how much from DBS will we get is a good question. Will we only get movie or will some of the show material will get in? We will have to wait and see.
“The new Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC adds a game original episode titled “A New Awakening (First Part) – Whis’ Training”. Players can check this episode out before clearing the main game. In the training with Whis, you can battle him or challenge some of his training to acquire massive experience points. By advancing through training you’ll awaken Super Saiyan God. This also comes with a status increase.
As far as new moves, players will get to learn brand-new special abilities. Furthermore, combos become stronger and get a different finish.
The grinding you do in the DLC episode carries over to the main game too. Moreover, if you become strong enough you’ll get to challenge Beerus to a fight.
The DLC will come included with the Season Pass for sometime after this spring. Keep in mind that the original episode is the “first part” so we’ll get the second half sometime later. No further information was shared, but it appears that the game is starting to step into Dragon Ball Super territory with its new add-ons.”
