Samurai 8 new chapter has Hachimaru achieving a new level and I figured we should talk about his ascension. There will be spoilers so stop now. AGIAN SPOILERS AHEAD.
Okay so Ch 42 has Hachimaru transcending or gaining a new level of enlightenment. Meaning he no longer needs his body. I know it is simple but that is basically what we have hear. Something that is rare in his world is the same thing that allows him to overpower his copies.
This over powering we have seen before with sci fi as we see AI basically do this to other machines as they over power the basic programming. Most of the time the AI does this to make the machine theirs to deliver a message or plant a virus. In other cases we see someone take over bodies. In this case that is what Hachimaru does. The issue here is that is all we can do.
I bring this up as we see him attack Ata and we get the result of Hachimaru bring cut to pieces. Granted this through a different technique but it has the same result as Hachimaru power didn’t real go up. So what then? Well at the end we see that might not be the case. But hoe useful that is will be something we check out in the next chapter As we have Hachimaru facing Ata and a sword that will take down anything .
