“Team Ninja took to their social media accounts to inform players the team is “working hard on a patch to improve the hair color change feature” along with cutting back the options for buying Premium Tickets somewhat.
No release date for said patch was confirmed in the update, but the DOA team did also state that they were also delaying the game’s next revival costume set from its March release to April because of the change which likely means the hair adjustments will also likely be made next month.
At the same time, the option to purchase 20 or 50 Premium Tickets on PlayStation 4 will no longer be available as of March 30 though the 2 and 10 purchase options will still be up.
Much of the controversy surrounding the recent DOA6 addition was tied to the implementation of the hair swapping feature which allowed players to change their favorite fighter’s hair color using a Premium Ticket once.
If a player subsequently decided to revert the color back or purchase a different shade, they would no longer retain access to the previously purchased DLC. The changes were also tied directly to save data and not the game’s server, so players would also lose any hair alterations they had bought if they lost their save as opposed to every other piece of additional content in the game.”
