More Shadow Hearts fans are putting together a petition that is aiming at 1000 signatures but is currently at 540 after reaching its goal of 500. This petition as many signatures but I want to be clear this is only a fragment of the fandom.
If you haven’t heard of the petition for Shadow Hearts let me explain. The petition is to ask Aruze Gaming who the founders believe own the rights to Shadow Hearts to give the rights to Studio Wild Rose. Studio Wild Rose is where Matuzo Machida and many other who worked on the game reside for now. The hope with getting them the rights is that Studio Wild Rose will make an HD collection or remake.
Now as you read on the title I say this is only a fragment. This is not me exaggerating but instead taking the info as we know it. First understand we are going of off a petition. This is something to take into account namely because petition are used by fans often but get little result in bring there beloved game back to life. This is mainly due to the fact we think the number of signatures alone will convince developers hey there is a fan base for this and thus support it.
What makes Shadow Hearts different and why we have more than 100 let alone 500 is because the fans know the creator says he would like to return to the world of Shadow Hearts as this all started with Machida interview in 2016. Thus Shadow Hearts is in the same boat Legend of Dragoon as we want to give the developers who want to work on the game all they need. The difference is Sony has the rights to Dragoon so it is easier to pen down. As For Shadow Hearts some say Aruze gaming which the petition address. The other is universal entertainment. (Maybe when all said we will just send both companies the list but that is a topic for another reason. )
The other reason why I saw this is a fragment of the fandom is because of one thing. It is due largely to the fact not all the fans know of it. Take this into account that when you go to twitter and look up shadow hearts remake, hd or sequel many don’t even know the current state of things. They do not know the team who developers SH have made there own studio (a number of them but you get the idea). Much less know that there is a petition for it to be revived.
Thus if you think about with only a handful of the fans know of the petition we then have to take how many fans actually signed. As I said before petition have not been shown to work so some might not want to sign as they see it being pointless in a way. Now again I do not see it as pointless if it gets the game noticed as we have more than 500 people who have pointed out they will show support for the game just understand there is more then 500 plus fans for this title.
Look at the lets plays look at twitter and type it in as this series is beloved by many whether it be fans her in the states, fans in Europe or fans in Japan this series has people just like another who would love to see it come back with al there heart and soul. All they are waiting for is a sign that it is coming back. For those waiting we will have it as we can either get through this petition which is a long shot. Or we get through studio wild rose which matsuzo stated that they will make a sequel after there 1st game. A spiritual successor which I hope will have the fans excited again and maybe we get to see Yuri and the other once more as that in my mind can give the studio the push it needs to maybe buy the rights but we will have to see.
