The King Of Fighters is SNK crossover game bringing in many character who are stylish and cool but also have there own back story. One back story that has never been covered is K the main hero of the NEST Saga.
K is a human who has been modified to use Kyo flames thanks to NEST. After he defected from them he has since been on the run. He has not only been hunted by NEST themselves during the NEST saga but also other group interested in there tech as we saw in KOF XIII ending.
Because of K endless chasing we don’t really get a chance to ask who K was before Nest made him into a living weapon to channel Kyo flame.
The question though is should SNK go down that route. When it comes down to it we really know more about Kyo than we do the other heroes of KOF so far. All 3 K, Ash and Shun past are murky at best with Shun being the best one to learn more about as he is the main hero right now. But most fans do want to learn more about the characters and as we know SNK anti hero does have a nice enough fan base to warn it.
Now I should explain the only thing we know about K is that Whip is his sister with her and Kula knowing each other from childhood. That is it. With him being one of the few humans who were born and not made it would be nice to learn more about him. Will it be interesting though is the question.
Interest would drive fans to learn more about and with fans to learn more about it. But how? We have talked about it before as maybe we can see what made NEST think K was perfectly suited for there test. Being able to channel energy from birth or maybe another factor that made them want to use him.
I come back to that as we don’t know why NEST selected K. So learning that would be a point of interest. To give you an idea he was chosen for kof 99 as he is the only to survive as K destroyed the other clones he was with until they put the glove on. But we have no other idea of his selection process.
I think that would be a good point of interest. But that we would have to leave up to SNK. Let me know what you guys think of this as we await to see what will be coming out for KOF XV and K.
