Shadow Hearts What If Koudelka Was The Main Agian P2

This is the 2nd part of the what if series on Shadow Hearts in what if koudelka was the leader one more. The last time we covered this Koudelka was having vision of something terrible coming and her only hope was to get all the party member from the previous games back together as a way to bring in from the new world into cannon since it is a spin off.

We ended with her looking for Yuri as she traveled with Halley, Roger Shania and Johnny. Now at this point I would suggest us getting threat that is causing Koudelka to have such nightmare visions. Besides the monster which are can compare to some of the strongest the Sh crew has faced there is something else that is coming. I figured that we would put them in perspective through Alice and Koudelka.

I figured this was fitting as to give the fact they are both keys to other meaning and why they must exist. With Koudelka seeing the disaster coming she is acting as a warning of the threat and how serious it is. For Alice she helps tells how and gives the answer and gives us hope. But before we can start she faints. As she faints we see someone walk through a malice made portal. It is an awaker a person who can channel and manipulate malice and ether. Introduced in SH FTNW we know they are powerful and with out will are prone to want to destroy the planet under the rules of Malice.

The powerful enemy has come for Roger, the manuscript along with Alice and Koudelka. The group have very little luck holding it off. Even with Johnny transforming to join Shania thunderbird and Yuri Neo Amon forms. It isn’t until Yuri and Shania use radiance and Tirawa they are able to push the enemy back. But they do so tiring themselves out. So much so that Roger is the only one to hear the enemy last words as he says they will not be able to stand again the other grim ones.

 

The grim ones (I figured is what a cool name for these stronger awakers) are not only more versed in using Malic and Ether than Johnny but also seems to be able to tap into other forces that the group cannot explain. Roger then decides to tell everyone that there are other books like the émigré. The reason why he hasn’t mentioned them is that he was never charged with translating them. He was only asked to translated the émigré. He knows this from other monks who were tasked with doing so but passed away thus taking the secretes of these books with them.

The reason why this matters is the books spoke those who wield great forces while another spoke of a battle when humanity was young. This comes from the last time he spoke to them and they explained this to him. But they couldn’t even come to grips with what it all means but says the books cannot be put together or used in union or something bad will happen.  Yuri being himself explains that doesn’t help much and that it nearly took all they got to defeat 1 when there are more doesn’t give them confidence.

Roger then explains that he noticed that Shania and Yuri most powerful fusions got a reaction out of the grime one they fought. Meaning they might be the key to wining this fight. Yuri and Shania both then explain using these forms takes a lot out of them. That is one of the reasons why Yuri favors Amon. As Alice wakes up though she chimes in agreeing with Roger and says that in her vision the 2 spirits that 2 of the four guardians were key in stopping the grime ones.

She explains that they were much stronger than meaning they must find way to unlock more power without the spirits destroying the fusion using them. This goes for Yuri especially since we already have seen what happen if radiance unleashes his power. But how to do that is something they will have to look for as they try to find these books. These siblings to the émigré. But how that goes is something we will have to discuss another time. Let me know your thoughts about my idea as we hope some day to bring this series back.
