NHK is reporting that Japan might be under state of emergency until May 6th. On April 7th The prime minster Abe had only a few regions under state of emergency but on April 12th have expanded it to the rest of the country.
This look effects everyone and all industries hence why it is news for those covering anime and videogame companies that come out of Japan. If that changes I will let you know.
