Final Fantasy VII Remake Bahamut Boss Battle

Final Fantasy VII Remake has many things for fans to enjoy and miss. Like most JRPGs there things you can do and get that you might miss out on if you are not careful. One such thing is the Bahamut summons boss fight. For tips and guide information we turn to IGN. com who has posted the latest. Here is the info

Tips: Before Fighting Bahamut

Going in unprepared is a surefire way to get whooped. Here’s how to prepare:

  • Make sure your party is maxed out at level 50.
  • Upgrade your weapons as much as you can.
  • Have a handful of maxed out materia. Specifically you’re gonna need Healing, some sort of magic (Fire was our preference) Magnify, and a handful of stat boosting materias, such as HP Up, Magic Up, MP Up, and some Luck Ups wouldn’t hurt either.
  • Ideally you should have each of your characters at 7000 or more HP before you attempt to give Bahamut a run for his money, so keep on farming your HP Ups until you’re able to come up with a materia configuration that allows you to do that.

How to Quickly Level Up HP and MP Up Materia

If you’re short on HP or MP Ups, head to a vending machine and buy a couple. They’ll start off at level one, but here’s a little trick to quickly level them up.

  • Equip Barret with Big Bertha and spec him out so that he does big damage with his basic attacks.
  • Now load him up with all of the materia that you want to level up quick.
  • Also load up Cloud with a first strike materia, a maxed out Fire materia, and link it with magnify so he can do a big AOE Firaga spell.
  • Next, go to the Shinra Combat Simulator in Chapter 17 and take Cloud and Barret into the “Two Person Team vs High Flyers” Mission.
  • If your Cloud is sufficiently strong enough, you should be able to clear the first fight in this mission with a single triple slash, netting you a quick 48AP.
  • The remaining fights can be cleared almost as easily with a combination of Firaga’s and Barret’s powerful basic attacks and skills like Maximum Fury.
  • The last fight is a tough one against a drake that reflects magic, but you can just give up, try again, and you’ll still retain all of the AP you got up to that point.
  • You’ll lose 400 gil each attempt though, so make sure you can spare the extra change if you decide to do this.
