Tower Of God Ep 11 Underwater Hunt Breakdown

Tower Of God Ep 11 Underwater Hunt is out and we will be breaking it down. Since this will be a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled please stop now and go see the episode on Crunchyroll.com. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.

To recap from the last episode Bam wants Rachel to come up with them but in her condition she cannot. As such this has Khun trying to become an administrator so he can say she passes. But in order to do that they need to see the floor master who is behind a door that can only be opened by an irregular aka Bam.

Now the floor master says something important in the fact he calls Bam the one who opened the door himself. This is probably referring to the crown game when Bam used his power to protect Rachel. But as Bam is talking to the floor master we have Rachel outside with Yu Hang Sung. Now it looks like because of camera work he is telling Rachel what Bam is being told by the floor master. It is hard to say but Bam returns and says that his request has been granted.

Sung then proceeds to explain the final test. The test will be to protect Bam and Rachel. Basically the group will have to make sure the net dolphin is interrupted as the net they create scoups up the barrier Rachel and Bam are in. They must protect them from the goblins and pigs. They must do so while avoiding the bull. They are avoiding the bull due the fact rankers can’t even deal with it.

This has the group sectioned out so they can do this right. That means the scouts and fisherman are keeping an eye on the enemy with spear bearers lying in wait. As Bam friends prepare to defend him Yuri seems to finally be getting close to meeting up with him again.

Now what we get from here is something I really liked about the episode which is the exchange between Khun and Shibisu. Khun asked why is Shibisu doing this and we are brought back to what Serena told him in that they are all drawn to him as he as he has what they lost. That can be innocents or hope but the group is drawn to help Bam to make sure he doesn’t lose what is dear to him.

The reason why I like this is Shibisu has been in this role from the beginning to being the guy to relay information for character development. In ep 3 he pointed out the clock is pointless further proving the point of trust and in testing Khun. With Anaak he gave a little bit more of a back story for the Black March. And with Serena we see him having a heart to heart with her as she goes finding out what she wants to do. Here he is relaying that why the people Bam want to protect him. He is mostly a gaga character but it is a character with more than a joke. The problem is when they found out the scouts have been eaten by the Bull except for Hantz.

Now as this is happening Bam and Rachel are thinking back to when they met. The times when they used to star at the cave sky and Rachel thinking back and seeing how far they have come. She is taken back by it but Bam isn’t. Remember he just wants to be by her side where that is he doesn’t care.

The thing is though in order for Bam to get there the group will have to figure out how to deal with the Bull and right now all they got is Shibisu as the ladies have left him there. Now to his credit the guy does what he can even though the bull ignores him. The issue is it is Shibisu and he is not really that powerful. Luckily for him the princess come back to help out only they turn it into a bet.  The bet is Anaak to give the season weapons to Androssi if she wins but if Anaak wins Androssi is her servant for life. An offer to good to pass up.

Now of course Raak hears this and he isn’t happy and he even threatens his fellow spear thrower Parakeiw. But luckily for Raak he doesn’t have to worry to long as goblins have begun to move. This has us quickly going back to the princess where they are playing who can beat the bull first only for it to run away with them in chase. This is so it can bring them to Po who is waiting for them while eating pizza. (I wonder how he got it there.)

With him and Nare we are properly introduced to the character type known as anima who are people who can control divine creatures. Or many given how Po is controlling the bull. But we see Khun ask Nare about control and she says a ranker is able to do it easily. I think at this point Khun realizes what is probably happening as for the director plans. A small camera shot gives that hint as remember Quant even points out that there must have been other easier ways to do this. Yet this is what they are doing as Androssi faces the bull who faces is showing his true strength against her and Anaak runs into Po.

Now this ends with Androssi being beaten but not killed by the bull and Anaak maybe looking at one of the people who killed her mother. It is hinted as he has the stone Anaak gave her mothers so he might be.

As this happening the group is preparing to put Khun plan into motion as Bam lets us know what the floor master asked him. He only thought of Rachel and then his friends. Now this is where it gets crazy as according to Bam he said very well and disappeared. So he asked him verbally and then vanished after reading his mind to see the people he cares for.

These same people are now fighting for him with some faring well like Nare who has taken Laure pillow hostage to get him to work for them. (Although why they needed to do that when we see he will do it gladly is weird.) And then we have those who aren’t fairing well such as the princess who in there current conditions are now badly injured left at the mercy of Po. While the others are running for there lives. How this will all go down is something we will see in the next episode.
