Everything has been impacted by COVID 19. Even the videogame industry. Luckily things are finding there grove again. So much so that Nintendo is promising things will get back to normal production wise this summer.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa was asked about production and responds by saying everything will be back to normal this summer. This referring to the production of the Switch in general. The summer has just started so we will see if Shuntaro is right.
