Studio Trigger is paying for unpaid overtime. This news was announced by the studio themselves as they settle things with former employee. The reason why this is news is due to the fact that last year it was brought up how problematic working on an anime came be and one of the things that came up was unpaid hours.
Since then the anime workers have tried to form a unions to make sure there right are protected. Black Kigyō Union (BKU) is one such union and it was part of this story as well as it negotiated with Trigger. Trigger stated that this is to improve the work place.
“It was rough, but I’m glad we reached a settlement without incident. I’m hoping for the proper use of flexible hours in this industry,” Trigger
