The King Of fighters XV is being seen as a return for many characters to the main story. One such character is Rugal and with his return we must ask what will he his role be.
While Rugal is probably the most well recognized boss next to Geese for non SNK fans. His role in the main story in kof 95 after showing us what happens to those who can contain the Orochi blood.
After that he is no longer in the story. We have seen him outside of it with Dream match but nothing else. Now that he is back it is unclear what his role will be. Before he was going after Kyo for defeating him. Will he just go back to that and be a more serious villain to Kyo then Iori and have them both come after him?

Or will he focus on his kids. Adel and Rose have been using his organization to fund kof from 2003 to XIII. Something he might want back. Considering what happened to Rose many think Adelk is looking for Botan and this would like to have the backing something that Rugal might have an issue with.
Or could it be something new. Instead of chasing the past Rugal looks into the present. He hears more about Verse and that is how he came back and if there is more to it. Remember we still don’t know what SNK will do with Verse. So we don’t know if there is more power to him.
But we will have to see as we don’t know if Rugal will make into the main cast let alone the story. While this may not stop him from entering the game it does mean no story or. Again though we will have to see what SNK does. But those are my thoughts let me know what you think.
