When thinking on how the Shadow Hearts series can come back we often think about all the game either getting a remaster or HD version. With this we will be asking about what would Shadow Hearts Covenant look like as an HD remaster.
When talking about covenant we are talking about the cream of crop in most cases. Out of the three it has the best balance of story and goofiness only matched by its gameplay and graphics. There we might see an upgrade as we will games as it deserves it. It also deserves save anywhere, turbo mode as well as photo mode to make it modern.
The issue comes with making it complete which means bring in elements that were introduced in directors cut. That sounds cool for fans as we see how Nicolai gets Ashtaroth as well as facing off against a side boss who makes having items that seem over kill on everyone else a necessity. No joke Keys are needed to win. Things that would make fans grin from ear to ear. The one issue comes with the fact it isn’t complete.
You see they were in the middle of developing it when they were told to stop. As such the game isn’t finished as videos online will show you. But as we making these complete games I don’t know if we could just bring in the elements that are or try to finish them so we can have a complete experience.
The sound answer I can think of is maybe skip those part as the original did and maybe save them for DLC down the road. Maybe. We can then focus the rest of the game to make other modifications to it to bring up to standards. But those are my thoughts. Let me know yours as we await for this game to return.
