The King Of Fighters A New Beginning is all new as we look at ch 30.1 This is raw but it has spoilers so please keep that in mind before proceeding any further. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
In the last chapter it seems Geese was able to get something out of Verse that Billy and Hein were covering him while he underwent this transformation. A transformation into Nightmare Geese. This gives Geese transformation a proper origin as apposed to him just haunting South Town all those who faced as we had discussed. The only thing is though he seems to be in full control.
Now as we see with this his raging storm Geese power in this state is increased. At beast nightmare before in the Fatal Fury games was just harder since he had a double fireball and different moves. Here we see he has gotten an overall increase and on top of that it is something that has stirred the powers inside Shun causing him to lose it as he did when he faced Ryo.
Now we have seen this form of Shun in the manga only and not in the game kof XIV. But as many are thinking this may be a prelude of things to come. As such in KOF XV we might just see this out of control Shun and this Nightmare Geese as characters in there own right as that is what happens with the characters or as part of the normal side showing another state.
The one thing to notice though is Shun cannot match up with Nightmare Geese power so the others come in help which in turn cause Billy and Hein to rejoin the fight as well. But for Fatal Fury fans we are watching Terry cover someone else as they take on Geese feels strange but that is what is happening.
What is interesting this also ask the question will this be shown as we way to tie Geese into Shun story and as such the Fatal Fury team. Remember we don’t know how much of this is taken into actual kof lore as main cannon so how we interrupt this or how it will be interrupted is something many fans are wondering about.
But the way this fight ends is classic manga or anime as both teams Fatal Fury and China join Shun calming and helping with the last attack on Nightmare Geese. What that attack is we will have to wait for the next chapter to find out. But let me know your thoughts.
