As we await for The King Of Fighters XV fans are itching to see who makes it in as they all ask for there favorite team. One team that is being asked for is the sacred treasure team which if brought back can have some big implications to the lore. Implications that I would like to go over here.
The sacred treasure team was introduced in KOF 97 and consist of Kyo, Iori and Chizuru. The 3 are to combine forces to seal the Oriochi which was at the time released and about the be revived by the Hakkushu through the 3 remaining heavenly kings. As there ancestors did before them they must protect humanity from this threat. With Iori restraining it, Kyo laying the killer blow and Chizuru resealing it.
Even though the team was brought together for Oriochi it would be use another time as well as Those from the past because to try and unseal the Orochi power as well. While those from the past didn’t succeed in reviving Oriochi to steal its powers Ash saga can be seen as an example of the team being brought together for more than just to deal with the Orochi and that is something I would like to touch on.

If we do get the sacred treasure team back it will there a new mystical threat or they will be the rivals to the Oriochi team who are back are many are seeing will be in the game. The group can be looking into a new way to unseal Oriochi as right now he is sealed after the event from KOF XIV. But what if it is something new.
Something that came with Verse that demands the sacred treasure team attention if not assistance. As we could have many threats that are here because of Verse making this team needed as KOF has it right now it is the closest thing to exorcist we have. So if we do have a new mystical threat they are the best ones to deal with it as what they do with Oriochi they can do to this new enemy. Also we might seem them more often as they might be needed to help Shun deal with what ever evil is coming for him as Chizuru out of all of the characters is the only one who can seal.
Now if we get this team this also means we could get Shingo on team Japan. This would be a must if it happens as Shingo was brought to sub for Kyo not only for 97 but also in 2003 on team Japan. What does this mean is we might have multiple fans who may want this to happen to see these team to get Chizuru and Shingo in the game. Keep in mind that isn’t the only way to come in but it is a way.
