Tokyo Game Show is going online due to COVID 19 concerns. But other than the show being called Tokyo Game Show Online we don’t know much about the event. This is the first time it is happening so this will be a learning experience. So how will it go? Well the organizers have posted a layout as to how the event will go.
- The main content is the organizer’s program. We will deliver the latest information from each exhibitor with a program format. Stage events originally held on public days in past years, as well as events from maker company booths, will be turned into a program style and be played sequentially on the main channel.”
- “We will make adjustments so that the audience can watch programs in order, without having to worry about being unable to watch a stream due to clashing schedules like before.”
- “We plan to have 3 official channels. One for programs from exhibitors, one for the indie event Sense of Wonder Night and the Japan Game Awards, and one for eSportsX to show eSports tournaments.”
- “Companies can also display their own titles as exhibitors on the special site, without having to wait for the live streams.”
- “I sincerely hope that we can hold the real event at Makuhari Messe next year.”
