Mortal Kombat XI introduces us to Kornika with her sons head removed. Something that may have other wondering why doesn’t she just restore him? Well according to Nether Realm it isn’t possible for her to do so. The reason why is that the act of beheading Shinnok causes the scales to tip the balance to good and thus we see her correcting it through out the game.
“Kronika did not restore Shinnok because it was beyond her power to do so. When Raiden decapitated Shinnok at the end of Mortal Kombat X, that act itself was irreversible.
