A new note founded by Ubisoft we learn just how far back the PlayStation 5 can go. The new system has backwards compatibility but we don’t know how far as Sony has only confirmed it going to PS4. The note today confirms long Sony fans that hoped other systems would be mentioned are disappointed as the notes it will do PS4 games.
Again not surprising given the PS5 is make is based on PS4 and the online store does have some great hits there. The thing is it doesn’t cover the whole Sony library of PlayStation games. With Sony being vague fans were hoping it only means they have big surprises for us. This if the note is correct seems to be one of them.
“As part of their next-gen upgrade process, PlayStation offer a number of features designed to help you move from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5.
PlayStation 4 players will be able to join multiplayer games with PlayStation 5 players.
Backwards compatibility will be available for supported PlayStation 4 titles, but will not be possible for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, or PlayStation games.”
