PlayStation 5 showcase will not only focus on the system but games as well. One of the games rumored to be there is Final Fantasy XVI. Yes there is a rumor that the next installment in the franchise will be announced there. This comes from an inside Imran Kahn who said it will be a good place to show it. We also have some people noticing Square Enix has something new to announce soon.
[For a few months, we’ve been hearing about Final Fantasy 16, which is rumored to be a PS5 exclusive. At the moment of publishing, Final Fantasy XVI hasn’t been announced, let alone as a PS5 exclusive, but it looks like this may change during the aforementioned showcase.
For starters, industry insider and ex-senior editor at Game Informer, Imran Khan, says the event would be a good time for the game to be revealed. As you may know, Khan has been at the forefront of reports about the game and its PS5 exclusivity.
Meanwhile, Square Enix’s Shinji Hashimoto retweeted the announcement video, suggesting Square Enix will be involved in some fashion, though this could be via the already announced Project Athia.]
Now I don’t know how to feel about this which is why I am late reporting on it. Is it real and if so what does it mean for those waiting for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2. Lets keep in mind those are 2 different team but Square Enix focuses for news one game at time making sure they don’t divide there fan base. So if we get one the other will be a bit away.
Again this is a rumor and not official so we will have to see where this goes. But let me know what you think.
