We are getting more characters for Street Fighter V Champion Edition with season 5. No brand new characters as Dan, Rose, Oro are the returning SF characters with Akira being the new one to the series from Rival Schools.
But according the article the three returning characters are in because of who they know. Dan for instance is following Blanka and Sakura. Rose is Menant teacher and we have seen her hinted not just in story but also in G’s. Oro appears in both Dhalism and Menant story. Thus you can say that the story characters who we didn’t get to play are now being brought in.
The logic makes sense but there is also one other thing. These characters have been high demand since the 1st season as DLC. So basically what we are seeing is Capcom give fans what they want in a sense. But what do you think? Let me know as we await to get these characters to play with.
