There was small hope that PlayStation 5 would play games from PS3 -PS1 due to not being clear on just how far back they will go. Well that has been confirmed to be only PS4 as Ryan came out to say they will not be able to play Ps1-PS3 games.
“So, unfortunately, we couldn’t reach the implementation of such compatibilities,” Ryan
Now this isn’t to big of surprise as Ubisoft said this was PS5 wouldn’t be able to play old console games. At the same time the way Ryan said this and how long they took to come out to say it makes me think they were trying to figure out how to either make it happen or say it.
It matters as Microsoft is doing it with Xbox Series X and videogame fans will compare the 2. At the same time if they did know of this early on I would hope they would have said it instead of holding of on it. But these are breaks. Let me know what you think of it.
