Sony has stated they will be supporting PlayStation 4 for 3-4 years. As to why they are doing this here you can see what they are seeing here.
“No one should be disappointed. The PS5 versions of those games are built from the ground up to take advantage of the PS5 feature set, and we have an upgrade path for PS4 users to get the PS5 versions for free. It’s about people having choice. I’m really quite pleased about the situation.” Ryan
So what does this mean for us gammers. It we means we can look forward to more games for the system. What games we will have to see.
