There have been many King Of Fighters XV rumors. As many of them are false they do hit on certain things that might be true. Since it might be true we should talk about it. One such thing will be models.
Now the rumors have stated that SNK will reuse the models putting them in unreal engine to make them look better then what they did for KOF XIV. The reason why this was dismissed by many fans happening is that they believe that either SNK would start from scratch because they have to or that it wouldn’t work.
Now the models are just the character avatar you are playing using in match. How they are animated or shaded is something else. There fore SNK might in order to cut down on time use the models from KOF XIV all be it modified and given new texture and animation. Thus we would have the same model but different look.
Now will they do that. We don’t know as we know nothing about the game at this point. But they might which is why we are talking about it. But let me know what you think as we await to see what KOF XV will look like when SNK reveals it hopefully sooner rather later.

Well, now that KOFXV has been shown we can see that they did reuse the models which in my opinion was a good idea, why just dump all that hard work and start from scratch? especially if KOFXV is a continuation from KOFXIV. All they need to do is fix some of the faces, hair etc and the only new work they are doing is animating the new Climax moves and the new special moves which we can see they will have at least 1 new move that was not in KOFXIV. Kyo and Benimaru got a little more work put on than Shun’Ei and Meitenkun and I hope we see more characters get that (Andy, Antonov) They still have to work on any new character but I think we will get few new characters at least on the main roster. KOFXV is looking really good cant wait to see more
It is looking especially now that we can see gameplay in this trailer more clearly. I am hoping we see the other characters get new moves as well and just Shun team but we will see. As for Antonov I want to say he is coming back since he is the tournament backer this saga as Rugal children were for the Ash Saga but we will see. As for Andy i think he will come back too. But we will have to wait and see what SNK does
